For years now I have been cutting up these nasty little rings, hoping and praying that none slip through the cracks and end up in the waterways, potentially harming our beautiful marine wildlife and birds.
Now a solution has been developed by the Saltwater Brewery in Florida that solves the issue of plastic six-pack rings. Made with a byproduct of the brewing process, these rings are edible by the fish and totally biodegradable. I hope that we see more brewing companies taking this sort of initiative.
A six-pack packaging design that instead of killing animals, feeds them. Go figure.
